Loxley Donates 2,300 Kilograms of Plant Vitamins to Support Green Space Development in Khlong Toei District

Loxley Group has reaffirmed its dedication to environmental sustainability through effective food waste management by partnering with Oaklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to transform food waste into “plant vitamins.” These nutrient-rich products have been donated to the Khlong Toei District Office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to support urban greening and reduce municipal waste.

The donation ceremony was led by Mr. Charaspong Lamsam, Executive Vice President and representative of Loxley’s Sustainability Development Working Group, and Ms. Natkan Klawut-anun, Managing Director of Oaklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd. They jointly presented 2,300 kilograms of plant vitamins to Mr. Pornprom Na S. Wikitseth, Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok, and Mr. Phimuk Simaroj, Secretary to the Governor.

Loxley Public Company Limited has placed strong emphasis on source-level food waste management, encouraging office tenants and neighboring organizations to separate food waste at the point of generation. This helps optimize the decomposition process and enhance the efficiency of plant vitamin production. The initiative not only reduces the volume of landfill waste, but also adds value to resources and showcases an effective public-private partnership in advancing sustainable urban development.

This effort also supports the "Ban Nee Mai Theung Ruam" (“This House Does Not Mix Waste”) campaign initiated by Bangkok Governor Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, which advocates for source separation of waste by households and organizations to reduce accumulated waste and improve the city’s overall waste management system. Instead of sending food waste to landfills, Loxley repurposes it into useful materials, significantly reducing environmental impact in a sustainable manner.

The 2,300 kilograms of plant vitamins were derived from processing more than 15,333 kilograms of food waste, which has been consistently delivered to the Khlong Toei District Office for use in developing green spaces. This donation marks another important milestone in Loxley’s efforts to promote food waste reduction, responsible resource utilization, and environmentally friendly practices.

Looking forward, Loxley intends to expand this project through partnerships with other stakeholders to create broader positive impacts on society and the environment. The initiative serves as an inspiring model for other businesses, encouraging greater engagement in waste reduction and environmental stewardship for a sustainable future.
